     Pink Zebra

Pink Zebra is an international company working in the United States and Canada to bring customizable fragrances and home décor products to customers through independent contractors across the country.  Pink Zebra’s signature product, Sprinkles, is fully customizable and allows customers to mix and match scents to create one of a kind, unique scents that are all their own.  Pink Zebra has experienced an overwhelming demand for their products, so the founders created a way to give back to the backbone of their company.

Through their HEROES program, Pink Zebra helps single moms that are either furthering their education or working, with a day of day care. There are two ways customers can help support this program.  First, by purchasing one of their HEROES products (which gives 10% of proceeds towards the program) or by hosting a party with sales of $500 or more. Pink Zebra has also created a "mom shift" for the warehouse so single moms can get their kids on and off the bus.

Pink Zebra’s Sprinkles are made from soy which helps soybean farmers right here in the USA and their happy thoughts line is assembled in the warehouse in Texas, and because of that, Pink Zebra has actively created jobs for local veterans, single moms and other people with unique needs.

Finally, Pink Zebra has committed itself to helping those in need after natural disasters.  Most notably, Pink Zebra raised money through the sale of their products to help disaster victims in Texas, Florida and Louisiana.

Two Blind Brothers

The Two Blind Brothers website asks its customers one question: Will you shop blind? The text is big and bold with three dollar amounts for a buyer to select from. In some smaller text below, buyers are offered a choice to shop from the collections proper, and not “blind.” Products in these Shop Blind boxes range from socks to sunglasses to shirts and even knit hats. But you wouldn’t know until the day you get to unbox it.

At the age of seven, brothers Bradford and Bryan Manning were told they would go blind. Instead of letting their diagnosis set them back, it became their mission to help others. In May 2016, they launched a clothing brand, Two Blind Brothers, which makes ultra-soft clothing and donates 100% of the profits to research to cure blindness. Two Blind Brothers has become one of the fastest growing charitable projects in the country from fans sharing the story and endorsements from people like Ellen DeGeneres, Ashton Kutcher, Richard Branson, Sheryl Sandberg, and many others.

“You know, we can't change the world. But being able to help a mother have her world spin a little bit slower after one of these diagnoses or that daughter being able to have that independence and that joy, that confidence, to go out and play a sport she really loved,” says Bryan, “I mean, if you have to weigh that against anything, that's the most valuable thing we think we can do: empowerment. We can be that inspiration and be there for people who are just looking to chat with somebody. And that's been such a huge part of this business that we had no idea at the very beginning.”

Mad Viking Beard Club

Mad Viking Beard Club-Pennsylvania Chapter

has been an official 501c3 non-profit organization

since 2015. The group was first formed in 2013

by the owners of a for profit company (Mad Viking

Beard Co.) They started with a discussion between a few guys sitting around a campfire saying... "Hey, I can grow a better beard than you." Which lead them to the idea of having a competition and donating all proceeds from event to a good cause.  Their first year they spent their own money to host a beard and mustache competitions with all proceeds benefiting Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.  Not to long after that event, they formed the Mad Viking Beard Club.

The chapter has raised well over $75,000 combined for several charities since becoming a registered 501(3)(c) non-profit. In 2021, the club had to scale down their event due to covid restrictions, but, in the true spirit of kindness, their members and supporters stepped up even bigger with donations/support. 2021 was the Club’s biggest single year donation to date. They were able to donate $30,500 to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and $12,100 to Semper Fi Fund. The Mad Viking Beard Club is still going strong.  This year they have already raised funds for a 2022 Pittsburgh Polar Plunge team that ended up 3rd out of all teams at the event, raising $7,777 for Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. The Club also does smaller community things throughout the year, such as a local food pantry food drive, collection of arts/crafts supplies for a local daycare and an Adopt a Highway road clean up twice a year. The Mad Viking Beard Club here in Pittsburgh is currently 1 out of about 14 other chapters who all do the same thing we do.  The best part about this organization is that they are a 100% volunteer club.  No one is paid for their time.  Every penny they raise goes toward the charities they support. Brandon Barnes, the club President, says it perfectly.  Everything they do is about spreading what they call #MADLOVE!!!

If you would like more information about who the Mad Viking Beard Club is and what they are doing in the future.
